It has been real long since I have scribbled something on this page and at last I made up my mind to drop some lines about something which has been worrying me for the past one month, China.
From pre-historic time, China has always been a hard nut to crack for many great emperors which even includes Alexander! Now a question arises why is it a hard nut? The answer is very simple, 'One country one emperor'. China gets its advantage because of its placement in map and its bullying tough policies.
Why China a trouble?
The word Sino-Indian relationship had no meaning before our independence. For the past 2500 years, all we did was use their silk and spread Buddhism.
Now our relationship with China is just not silk or Buddhism but rather a competition, Economic Superpower of the region. China has this amazing ‘political theory’, if it finds a mongoloid (I’m not racist!) in any part of India, China will start claiming that it belongs to them. Not the guy but the land! Similarly, in 1962, Aksai Chin, a Switzerland sized land (250 km) was annexed by China. And now they are claiming Arunachal Pradesh as their land.
Types of Wars
I classify war into two types, 1.Psychological and 2.Armed. China is trying to engage India with the both.
Psychological war:
If there is going to be another war in this world it will be for two things, a) Water b) Land.
Battles over water are always about something more. At their most elemental, they are about survival. Brahmaputra, which has its origins in Tibet is a life line for many in India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia. China has already diverted the two main streams of Brahmaputra to its arid northern part which holds a huge amount of Chinese folks. The diversion and Dams has already affected Vietnam and Cambodia. And now china is trying to build a GRAND BENT to the middle stream (tributary) which is main source of water to the North-East India and Bangladesh. If this detour happens, India would face a huge water crisis. Adding to the trouble, China and India have not formulated a proper water sharing agreement as we have with Pakistan, so even if the river is deviated there is no one to question the Chinese offense.
