A year to remember

A year to remember
“I don’t think of the past, the only thing that matters is the everlasting present”, said somebody. But this is the right time to think of the things which affected us in every possible way in 2009. It was not a memorable year for me but still, there are certain things which inspired me to do the things, motivated me to influence people, aroused me to empathize feelings and agonized me to be a ‘rebel’.

January was the month of hope, it was only in 1961 when every citizen in United states of America were given the right to vote (Universal suffrage) but now an African- American is the president of United states of America. And yes, it is the hope to everyone who dreams. And yes, He is the ‘Ray of hope’.

March was the plight of Globalization. A small microscopic organism parented in Mexico made the colleges in Bangalore to shutdown; this was a harsh realization to many as they believed it to be a solution to all modern day problems. Globalization is not a comfortable seat to sit rather a comfy seat which is fixed partially and prone to break.

May was a month to mourn, Velupillai Prabhakaran, liberator, revolutionist and an able military leader was killed by Srilankan Autocratic Government. He lead a life for a noble cause and died for a noble cause. And yes, you are my inspiration in some ways. And yes, we are missing you sir. May your soul rest in peace.

May still had many reasons to mourn; Indian National Congress came to power again with a huge majority. And yes, I’m sure that the next five years are going to be years of bad decision under our puppet prime minister Mr. Manmohan Singh. Already it started with Telengana.

June was marked by the death of King of Pop, many loved him, admired him but still, whenever I think of him all I can remember is his child abuse.

July’s solar eclipse reminded me that, ‘you have one life, just one life to live, so live it to the most’. Next comparably-sized solar eclipse can only be sited in 2132. And yes, every moment can occur only once, so live it to most.
September saw series of intrusions from China in Indian soil. But still the government took fewer efforts to stop it.

October, there is nothing better than this! Quentin, Brad Pitt and Inglorious Basterds. “You probably heard we ain't in the prisoner-taking business; we in the killing Nazi business. And cousin, Business is booming” Amazing dialogue, amazing background score, amazing direction and amazing dialogue delivery. And yes, the best movie of the year. And yes, the best director of the century.

November, Tiger was trapped, not in forest, but in California. And yes, he has to be named ‘Cheet-a’. And yes, You are the man ;)

December, Andhra Pradesh was in turmoil after the opportunistic fasting started by KCR. It was followed by a series of Violent protests and curfews. Central government announcing separate Telangana statehood is what I consider the best example of a bad decision. In our countries, separatist and parochial people are encouraged rather the one who is patriotic. It is an ironic situation but still it is happening. And yes, I want a single state called India. And yes, I want my brother and sisters to be patriotic rather getting manipulated by the false maneuvers of Provincial politicians.

And yes, it is one of the good years but not the best. And yes, I’ll make a good use of next year.
